We are happy to inform you that the final report for the project Soil Organic Matter management across the EU: best practices, constraints and trade-offs is published on the DG Environment website. The full report is available for downloading. The project, which is funded by European Commission DG Environment, aims to assess the relative contributions of the different inputs and outputs of organic carbon and organic matter to and from the soil and uses land use change scenarios for Europe calculated with LUMOCAP. For more information, please contact Hedwig van Delden. |

| Climate of Coastal Cooperation |
2011-12-05 11:39:03
Finding the balance between exploitation for short-term profit and developing long term, environmentally sustainable approaches to resource use is difficult. The book Climate for Coastal Cooperation seeks to help find that balance. The book describes coastal cooperation, including tools for integrated coastal zone management, including a chapter about RamCo. |

The ESPON ET2050 project started last september. The aim of this project is to create a vision on the long term territorial development in Europe. RIKS will contribute to this project in the development of territorial scenarios and visions and will apply Metronamica to make these scenarios spatially explicit. More information on the ET2050 project can be found on the project page. |

Steven Lauf and colleagues have been working on the integration of a system dynamics model for household dynamics with the Metronamica land use model. The calibration and results of this combined model approach are now available as a paper that was recently made available in the journal Environmental Modeling and Software |
