Schiphol DSS

2011, , The Netherlands

The purpose of the Schiphol DSS is to develop a prototype spatial decision support system for an area surrounding Schiphol airport. This system allows introducing a number of policy measures and assessing its effect in a large number of spatial indicators. These indicators are presented as a composite health indicators and a composite quality-of-life indicator, each consisting again of a number of indicators that elucidate specific aspects such as noise, safety or NO2 particles per year. In addition the system presents the potential for improvement for the included indicators and for different types (residential) land uses.
